Live-in Housekeeper needed for 8 weeks from mid-july.
A remarkable 2 month summer opportunity for a housekeeper to help run an exceptional 10 bedroom historic private home in the Var in the south of France, set in a beautiful national park
The job needs excellent references.
It is temporary this year for 2 months between mid July and early September – working around 40 hours per week, spread over 5.5 days. Flexibility, diligence and enthusiasm is a requirement.
Separate accommodation on site will be provided. Couples will considered, but only one job is available. The house is not always busy, but summer entertaining means there will be busy times and quieter times.
The role involves housekeeping and running the house to a high standard and regular schedule. This includes cleaning to a high domestic standard, linen management and some errands – but will also involve washing-up and table-laying.
Cooking not required, but some food shopping is needed. Driving Licence essential. A pooled work car for staff to run errands will be available at the house.
The bed and table linen is laundered and pressed by the local Laundry, but some personal laundry will be required. Please do not apply unless you have a number of strong references and experience.
You MUST be an EU national and be able to travel.
Live-in role for one person only. A local team of gardener and weekly contractors are already on hand. Please say if you have been vaccinated for COVID.
All guests will have been tested before arrival and vaccinated. Benefits:
