Many theories have been proposed as to origin of the word "Dubai". One theory suggests the word used to be the souqin Ba. An Arabic proverb says "Daba Dubai", meaning "They came with a lot of money." According to Fedel Handhal, a scholar on the UAE's history and culture, the word Dubai may have come from the word daba (a past tense derivative of yadub which means "to creep"), referring to the slow flow of Dubai Creek inland. The poet and scholar Ahmad Mohammad Obaid traces it to the same word, but to its alternative meaning of "baby locust" due to the abundance of locusts in the area before settlement.

- Ensure a smooth restaurant and bar operations in the least times, assist with monthly forecasting, weekly schedule, restaurant profitability evaluation, develop menus, conduct training and perform performance evaluation of colleagues
- Optimize profitability of restaurant and bar and drive revenue
- Maximize and maintain the restaurant's performance also as service quality
- Create an exceptional experience for our guests
- Has a passion for Food & Beverage
- Enjoys interacting with people
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English
- Willing to figure shifts both early and late
- Must have experience working in either a standalone restaurant or a luxury 5* hotel environment with background in Asian cuisine and excellent knowledge of running bar operations
- Must be a friendly, helpful and trustworthy leader
- Enjoys planning, organizing and problem solving
- Enjoys being challenged
- Able to engage with restaurant guests
- A self-starter and may drive the team to optimize business revenues
- Solution-driven and ready to add a quick paced environment
