Robertson Recruitment are looking for a Farm Team Leader to work for one of our prestigious clients in Lincolnshire on a full time permanent contract.

The purpose of the role is to support the Facilities Manager in the running on the farm whilst also working on the farm. The successful candidate will provide relief cover for the Facilities Manager and additional Poultry Caretaker support in periods of absence and weekends.

This is a position of growth and development within a specific training programme with a view to becoming a Trainee Facility Manager.

Due to the nature of this role, it will require the position holder to travel to various farms within a specific geographic area (Lincolnshire)

The required day-to-day duties of the Farm Team Leader would include but not limited to:

Driving performance and standards with demonstrating positivity through clear and conscise communication
Delegating tasks to other members of staff as appropriate
Ensuring that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and actions
Leading by example, demonstrating commitment to the role and tasks given
Managing production information, interpreting livestock numbers set out on daily files, hatches and reports
Take responsibility for alarms as appropriate
Proactively maintain poultry to a high standard
Ensuring that the live stock has ready access to fresh water; has appropriate environment; are free from pain/injury/disease; are provided proper facilities and company of the own kind, also a diet to maintain full health
Observing all hygiene rules, this includes personal hygiene, hand washing, boot dipping/changing and the wearing of all protective clothing
Strictly adhering to all bio-security rules
Collecting and recording egg collections neatly and accurately
Adhering to all Farm Health and Safety rules and procedures
Other tasks as per the managers` requirements within the candidate`s capacity

The ideal Farm Team Leader candidates would:

Have relevant experience working as a farm worker and dealing with live stock (min. 3 years essential)
Have a passion for poultry
Have a genuine desire to support the business
Show great communication skills
Be highly motivated and enthusiastic in delivering on new challenges
Be flexible and adaptable towards business needs
Be able to work individually under minimal supervision as well as working as a part of a team
Have a great eye for details and a high level of accuracy
Have excellent timekeeping
Have a positive attitude towards work
